I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Chartered) specialising in the psychological assessment and treatment of patients whose primary reason for referral is a physical disease or disability.  Up to 2005 a large part of my work was as Psychological lead, Chronic Pain Management Team based at Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, where I worked for eleven years.  I also helped direct the Back Pain Rehabilitation Programme, City Hospital, Derby(1999-2008) and now work primarily in a private capacity, including Medico-Legal assessments.  I have previously worked with Medical Rehabilitation, including Neuropsychology experience, at Cannock Chase Hospital.  I have previously worked in Adult Mental Health, Psychiatric and also other Pain Clinic settings.

I shall be fully qualified to provide EMDR therapy by December 2008.

I am happy to take medico-legal referrals for Psychological Assessment for Personal Injury, particularly in connection with road accidents, and have received Woolf guideline training.  

I also provide therapy and focus on a return to driving, psychological pain management and the resolution of PTSD.

I can usually see people within 8 weeks of referral, with my report to follow within a further two weeks.
