Peter Hearne has spent a lifetime in a widespread range of aeronautical activities at all working levels from shop floor, flight shed design office and cockpit to Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board of Europe's then largest avionics company.

His positions held include
10 years experience in the Operatons and Engineering Development Units of British Overseas Airways and British European Airways working on the development and introduction into service of new types of advanced civil aircraft including new jet airliners and helicopters. Final position held was as Engineer i/c of all helicopter development and experimental flight operations.
35 years experience at Eliott Flight Automation later the old GEC Marconi group where he was latterly responsible for all major electronic system dvelopment in GEC for such advanced aircraft as Tornado , Eurofighter, Boeing 777, F16 and the latest US stealth fighter the F22.

Promoted successively to General Manager, Director and Managing director followed by Assistant Group Managing Director reponsible for the major part of all GEC's aviation activities. This work also included supervision of GEC's corporate aircarft unit

Two years service in Washington DC as President of GEC Marconi US operations
Academic and professional qualifications include:-
Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering
Master of Science in aeronautical engineering (Cranfield)
Fellowship of Royal Aeronautical Society (President 1980/81)
Diploma of Loughborough College in aero engineering
Felow of Royal Instsitute of Navigation
Additionally Peter Hearne has a relatively unusual combination of engineering science and extensive experience in flight operations matters , both military and civil and including flight test and development flying. He has some 4500 hours as a pilot in a wide variety of aircraft with Multi engine, full Instrument rating and Flying Instructor's ratings
Petr Hearne's several associates in his expert witness work include Captain John Hoskins a highly experienced helicopter pilot with some 12,500 flying hours,including some 7000 hors in off shore operations

Amongst the matters with which I have been concerned in the courts are
Civil and military accident cases including major civil aircarft disasters.
Helicopter accidents including off shore operations from both ships
and rig platforms.Faulty maintenance procedures both in respect of saftey and fees charged.Air rage and endangerment cases.
Contractual Disputes with regard to design, manufacturing and maintenance
Airport planning matters

Smuggling by air and sea.

Experience of giving evidecne in the High Court, Central Criminal Court, House of Commons Select Commitee, US Federal and French upper courts.
