I am an independant Road Traffic Accident Investigator with extensive experience as a police traffic patrol officer.   Experience in all levels British courts.

Expert Witness in road traffic accident matters and registered with the Law Society Register of Expert Witnesses and checked and accredited by them.

Single Joint Expert trained in 1999.  Travelled and worked throughout UK and worldwide.  Experience of RTA investigation Brunei, Canada, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Gibraltar.

Expert Witness in road traffic accident matters and registered with the UK Register of Expert Witnesses as a road traffic accident investigator.

I served 15 years with the Lincolnshire Police and Lincoln City Police (consecutively from 1963-1978) and was a Class One Advanced Driver with extensive experience in road traffic accident investigation of all categories.  I am an experienced plan drawer.

During my career with Lincolnshire Police I was specifically authorised by my Chief Constable to test and inspect motor vehicles, take official police photographs and fingerprints in crime and traffic accidents and other matters and was trained accordingly.

I have also been driver and instructor on two skid pans in the UK and I underwent a special skid control and skid awareness course at Olofstroms Trafikovningsplats in Sweden in 1993.

I was a police (exempted) driving instructor for pupils from learner to police advanced levels.


I have been a DSA Approved Driving Instructor since 1978 and proprietor of the longest established driving school in Lincoln.  

I have been a ‘Pass Plus’ Driving Instructor since 1995.

I am minibus driving examiner to schools, colleges and Lincoln University.

I ride a pedal cycle approximately 3 miles most mornings.

I own and ride a Honda 400 VFR motorcycle having passed my test in 1976.

I have been a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists since 1968 and former Principal Instructor for Lincolnshire in all categories (motor cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles).  This includes PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicles) in all groups, EE53276 since 1974.

From 1997-2002 I was Senior Tutor on the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership Driver Improvement Courses and Young Driver Courses.  I relinquished this post when I was invited to become a lecturer at the University of Lincoln in accident investigation and reconstruction to forensic students.

I hold a City & Guilds 7305 certificate for teaching and lecturing in driving and road safety in Further Education and I have taught traffic education in a comprehensive school for nine years.

I am registered in the National Directory of ADI Tutors of Road Safety.

I am retained as a traffic consultant to Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys (TASA), Pennsylvania, USA.

I am a qualified and active First Responder for my area team with Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Services (LIVES). (2005).
