I
am a practising clinical pharmacist with specialist qualifications
in psychiatry and geriatrics. I have over 18 years of experience
in these fields and have authored more than 80 journal publications
and book chapters in these areas.
I
can provide expert medicolegal opinion in relation to the
treatment of a range psychiatric illnesses including depression,
schizophrenia and other psychosis, substance abuse and anxiety
disorders.
I
am also able to provide opinion on the adverse neuropsychiatric
effects of drugs (side effects of drugs that may appear
like a mental illness).
Areas
in which I can provide advice include adverse drug reactions
(side effects), drug interactions, drug dosage and administration,
medication selection, and interpretation of serum drug levels.
Having
a broad range of experience I can provide advice from an
Australian and also an international perspective.
I
have access to a wide range of highly specialised drug information
resources and other databases with relevance to clinical
psychopharmacology.
I
have experience in providing expert witness information
in the area of psychiatry and also with respect to the effects
of medications and other compounds upon fitness to drive.
